Spike Video Game Awards

The Spike Video Game Awards took place saturday and many awards were given out, including Game of the Year, which was given to The Elderscrolls 5: Skyrim
Other awards were given such as:

Best RPG: Skyrim
Best Graphics and PS3 game: Uncharted 3
Best Multipalyer Co-Op: Portal 2
Best Game Studio: Bethesda Works(Skyrim)
Best Xbox game and Action Game: Batman: Arkham City
Best Wii game, Motion Game, and Video Game Hall of Fame: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Gamer "God": Blizzard Entertainment.
Best Shooter: Modern Warfare 3
And many more awards were given.

Sony Tablet S

The sony tablet S is the new tablet from sony.  It has a 9.4'' LCD touchscreen with 1280x800 resolution, making it look good.  It comes with a 5 megapixel camera that can take decent pictures indoors and outdoors.  You are able to sign up for Sony's Video and Music Unlimited service, which allows you to stream media from their extensive library.  You are also able to play playstation certified games.

Blizzard's popularity declining?

There are rumors that there will be layoffs at blizzard.  They are mainly the people that come up with the ideas of game play in their popular game world of warcraft.  With new mmos coming out later such as star wars the old republic and guild wars 2, blizzard is losing subscribers fast.  Not only that, but some of the unsubscribers have been calling the game "boring" and "old".  Within the year of 2011 Blizzard has lost an estimated amount of 5 million subscribers.  Blizzard hope to get those subscribers back with their new wow expansion Mists of Pandaria.

SW:TOR testing server EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!of people

Bioware has release its largest game testing server for Star Wars The Old Republic to anyone who had pre-ordered the game.  Beta testers would first install the beta taking around an average 1-3 hours to install.  After installing the game they would have to endure a three hour or more wait time to begin playing.  Bioware did not expect so many people to be playing at once.  They said teh next time the beta invites are sent out, there will be more servers to play on, thus reducing the wait time.

My not so exciting weekend

My weekend was not so exciting.  I went to the meadow lands flea market and bought a nintendo64 for 5 dollars.  I also got a copy of call of duty modern warfare 3 and played it.  It is cool..

On November 3rd google put they're first "easter egg" in their search engine.  If you type 'do a barrel roll' in the search engine the screen will... do a barrel roll.  This was inspired by a popular video game meme from Star Fox 64.

Steve Jobs Passes Away

10/5/11.

    Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple dies from pancreatic cancer.  Steve Jobs had a major impact on technology.  He helped improve the way we work and communicate with each other.  Him and his friend Steve Wozniak built today's company Apple.  Jobs founded Pixar Animation, the animation company that creates all of the new Disney animations.  Jobs revolutionized multimedia with the mac computer and iPod devices.  Losing Steve Jobs caused Apple's stocks to fall 68% before, now with the permanent loss of him might cause even worse.   

My Weekend

On my week end the only somewhat exciting thing I did was ride my bike in the rain at 11:00 at night.  Then i woke up the next day and did absolutely nothing at all.  Then on Sunday i went to church and ate food there.  Then i rode my bike with my friends.  

Weekly Teach article 9/30/11

The new LG Thrill 4G smart phone for AT&T was released.  It has a 4.3", and weighs 6 ounces. screen and twin 5 megapixel cameras.     You can also create your own 3-D content.  The phone also comes with its own pre-loaded 3-D content.  It also has pre-loaded 3-D games, and warns you to stop playing because it will cause headaches.  Also the phone doesn't have any lag at all.  Overall it is a good phone.

The Fall...

So the fall...yea...  I guess i like it because its not so hot anymore.  Also it's one more season towards winter, and i like the snow.  here is a website about fall poetry
